Minnie Bess Price, 75, of Paris died at 2:10 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 1994, at McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, in Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Rose officiating. Burial will be in Forest Chapel Cemetery near Chicota. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Price was born Aug. 1, 1918, in Chicota, a daughter of Charles H. (Bud) and Ora White Townsend. She attended schools at Chicota. She married [R.] Henry Price in 1940 in Temple and he preceded her in death in 1983. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Paris and the Fidelis Sunday School Class. She was a former employee of Sears and a member of McCuistion Medical Center Auxiliary. She had served as memorial chairman for the American Heart Association and as vice-president of Berean Bible Club.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Roy Chadwick of Powderly and Faye and Lyndell Frazier of Longview; five grandchildren, Lisa, Lauren and Cliff Chadwick and Bryan and Teresa Frazier; two great-grandchildren; a special nephew and his wife, Charles and Betty Annett of Albuquerque, NM, and their three children and seven grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Cedric Townsend of Paris; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Annett and Leona Caldwell and a brother, Cedric Townsend. Pallbearers will be Greg Moore, Bobby Addy, Steve Annett, Jim Chadwick, Scott Moore and Jason Moore. Memorials may be made to the building fund of the Chicota Baptist Church.
