Tyree Harrison was the husband of Frances "Fanny" Malone. He had 2 brothers, Lewis Harrison (see Find A Grave Memorial# 54959956), and William Harrison (see Find A Grave Memorial# 53273047); and possibly 2 or more sisters including Sarah Eliza Harrison who married Noah Giesler. Little is known about their parents, other than the mother referred to as "Widow" Harrison in old histories of Maries County. It is believed that Tyree was the first of the three brothers to settle in Missouri, followed by the widowed mother and Tyree's siblings. It is believed these Harrisons began settling in the Washington/Franklin/ Crawford County, MO area about circa 1820-1830, coming from Kentucky. The Harrison clan is said to have been in North Carolina and Tennessee prior to Kentucky, and Virginia prior to that. Tyree Harrison married Frances "Fanny" Malone in 1827 in Washington County, Missouri. They are on the 1830 Census in Meramec, Franklin County, MO. The 1840 Census shows them in Crawford County, MO (probably due to the changing county line boundaries), and by 1841 Tyree Harrison appears in land records in Maries County, MO, where he resided until his death at age 92 ( *age at death is per Everett Marshall King's book Histoiry of Maries County" which states Tyree lived to "the advanced age of 92 years" and that his widow survived him some years))

Tyree and Fanny Malone Harrison were the parents of at least 7 children who survived infancy, including: Emeline, Sarah Jane, Lavina C, Margaret, Arminta, Francis Marion, and John Tyree. They also helped raise grandchildren Mary Frances Bullock and Albert Tyree Bullock, after the early deaths of their daughter Emeline and her husband Jackson Bullock. It is not known where Tyree and Fanny Harrison are buried, as their graves appear to be unmarked and no record confirmed, but it is believed they could be buried at High Gate Cemetery where many other of their Harrison and Bullock kin are buried, OR possibly at Rock Spring Cemetery where other Harrison kin are buried. Many of the old headstones at both cemeteries have been lost to time and deterioration, and many other graves were marked only with field stones bearing no inscription of identification.

A Letter of Administration for the Estate of Tyree Harrison dated 26 September 1895 can be found in Maries County Probate Court Records, a copy of which was located and shared on Familysearch. It appears he died intestate. The Maries County History book by Everett Marshall King states he lived to the advanced age of 92 years; therefore his birth date is estimated as 1803 with a death year of 1895.
