William M. Wood, 96, Atglen R1, died Thursday at the home of his daughter, Maude E. Greer, Drumore R1, after a one year illness. He was a retired employee of Luken's Steel Co., Coatesville. He was the husband of the late Pearl E. Atkins Wood. Born in Ash County, NC, he was a son of the late Jess and Sarah Wood. Surviving are the following children: Maude E. Greer, Drumore R1; John W., Frederica, Del.; Paul and William A., both of Quarryville R3; James R., Gap R2; 25 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; the following sister and brothers: Effie Eldridge, North Carolina; Lee Wood, Toughkenamon; Charles Wood, Lancaster, and John Wood, North Carolina.
