BALDWYN - Leland Clovis Thomas, 74, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, at the Shearer-Richardson Memorial Nursing Home in Okolona after a long illness. He was an employee of the Eaton Corporation in Wisconsin for more than 25 years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Kenosha, Wis. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charlie Ransier officiating. Burial will be in Prentiss Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include a daughter, Pamela G. Walls of Fort Worth, Texas; a son, Randall Thomas of Broken Arrow, Okla.; five sisters, Evelyn Conwill of Baldwyn, Ollie Faye Thomas of Ashland, Nancy Edwards of Ripley, Tenn., Shirley King of Ashland and Mattie Hurst of Walnut Ridge, Ark.; two brothers, Clarence Thomas of Marietta and Ralph Thomas of Baldwyn; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Luna Thomas; a daughter, Deborah Thomas; a sister, Ruby Cobern.
