LaVern A. Brack, 75, died Sept. 8, 1996, at Center Kansas Medical Center-St. Rose Campus in Great Bend. He was born May 25 (sic), 1921 in Barton Co., the son of Floyd and Elma (Keil) Brack. A lifetime Barton County resident, he was a retired farmer. He married Clarissa L. "Chris" Brack, July 17, 1965, in Russell. She died November 20, 1993. Brack was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and VFW Post 6240, both of Russell.
Survivors include one step son, Buddy Brown of Fremont, CA; one step daughter, Ruth Ann Betts of Russell; two sisters, Lavina Bender of Russell and Darlene Bender of Belle Vista, AR; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington, with Rev. Henry J. Hartman officiating. Miliary graveside rites will be at Fairview Cemetery in Galatia.
