DANIEL MURPHREE Jr was the son of DANIEL MURPHREE 1717 – 1771 and SARAH DEMPSEY 1721 – 1771

PROBABLY (not documented) died in 1783 (also reported as 1778, but last child born 1781) in North Carolina in the Revolutionary War; service has been reported with the NC Militia, Capt Isaiah Hogan's Company.

In 1774, Chatham, North Carolina, court minutes show Daniel allowed 5 wolf scalps. In 1775, sold 175 acres along New Hope Creek (Chatham, North Carolina) to John Hatley for 21 pounds proclamation money. Recorded 8/1775. May 1775

He married MARY "MOLLY" BULLARD 1753 – 1823; parents of:
