Darwin was an active member of the Richard Bradley Cemetery Association in White County, Tennessee, the burial place of his Revolutionary War soldier ancestor, William Butram. Darwin spent many hours with the group helping to clear the Bradley cemetery and keeping it maintained before it had a regular caretaker. Darwin designed and built the pedestrian gate for that cemetery at his own expense several years ago. The attractive wooden gate is still in use today. In addition he was usually at the Bertram Family Reunion in Monticello, Wayne Co., Kentucky the 2nd Sunday each July. He and his wife, Glenda, will be missed at the biannual meetings of the Richard Bradley Cemetery Association and at the annual Bertram Family Reunions!
