Albert Howard Bertram, 74, of Rugby, passed away January 11, 1993 at the Baptist Hospital in Knoxville. The son of the late Howard and Maudie Bertram, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Margie Shoemaker; brother Horace Bertram; great grandson, Milford Lynn Jones, Jr.; and granddaughter, Sherrie Bertram. He was a life-long patron of the Church of God of Brewstertown, and a member of the Masonic Lodge #670 F&AM of Robbins.

Survivors include his wife, Ora Stella Clouse Bertram; three sons and daughters-in-law: Junior Lee Bertram of Oliver Springs and Linda of Knoxville; Wendell and Connie Bertram of Huntsville; and Charles and Lois Bertram of Oneida; two daughters, Janette Tilson and husband, Ray, of Wartburg; and Cloeva Jones of Oneida; nine grandchildren: Denita Stewart, Mona Kay Jones, Timothy and Milford Lynn Jones, Gabriel Logan Bertram and Anthony Ray Stewart; six great grandsons: Greg and Arvil Lee Bell, Ralph Timothy and Tyler Jones, Gabriel Logan Bertram and Anthony Ray Stewart; two half-brothers: Johnny Bertram and Darwin Bertram; two sisters, Betty Stivers and Alice Bertram. Several nieces, nephews and many other relatives survive also.

Funeral services were conducted at the Schubert Funeral Home Chapel in Sunbright on Wednesday evening, January 13, with graveside services held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Laurel Dale Cemetery in Rugby. The Rev. Donald Douglas and the Rev. Charlie Golden officiated. Masonic Memorial Services were held Wednesday evening. Obituary provided as a courtesy of the West-Murley Funeral Home.
