Death Takes E. CRAWFORD
Burial services for Ernest E. CRAWFORD, 69, Washington, will be held in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield following last rites at Washington.
CRAWFORD died Wednesday evening at his home in Washington after a lengthy illness from a stroke. The body is at Jones Funeral Home in Washington where last rites are pending.
The son of William James and Margaret SISSON CRAWFORD, Ernest E. CRAWFORD was born Oct. 16, 1904 (sic - 1905), at Brookville in Jefferson County. He was married to Beatrice WINTER Jan. 31, 1927. She Survives.
Other survivors include eight daughters; Mrs. Oliver GOHN, Jr., Fairfield; Mrs. Bernice BARBER, Davenport; Mrs. Eva TWITTY, Parkville. Mo.; Mrs. Betty STIGERS, Italy; Mrs. Shirley KNERR, Keota; Mrs. Margaret MARIGOLD, Keota; Mrs. Virginia LETTS and Mrs. Mary Kathryn KNERR, both of Washington; two sons, John William and Thomas Ralph CRAWFORD, both of Washington.
Also one sister, Mrs. Martha SALTS, Batavia; two brothers, Wayne CRAWFORD, Batavia, and Earl CRAWFORD, Fairfield; along with 27 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, one son, three grandchildren and a number of sisters and brothers.
