MRS. MYRTLE TUBBS LIVINGSTON, BURIED TUESDAY AT TURKEY CREEK
Funeral services for Mrs. Myrle Katie-Ruth Black Tubbs Livingston, 83, were held in Turkey Creek Baptist Church Tuesday, November 18, 1997, at 4:30p.m. with Brother William Hodge officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, with Barry Simmons, Blake Simmons, Jim Taylor, Jason Watson, Brandon Simmons, Buddy Simmons and Homer Odom as pallbearers. Browning Funeral Home of Water Valley, Miss. had charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Livingston died of heart failure at Baptist Memorial Hospital--North Mississippi in Oxford, Miss., Lafayette County Monday, November 17, 1997.
Born December 5, 1913, in Calhoun County, Miss., Mrs. Livingston was a daughter of the late John H. Isom and Sara Ada (Ali May) Starnes Black. A homemaker, she was the wife of Robert Livingston. Mrs. Livingston was a member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church in Calhoun County, Miss. At the time of her death she was a resident of Batesville Manor Nursing Home.
Survivors include; her husband, Robert Livingston of Water Valley, Miss.; a daughter, Bess Simmons of Water Valley, Miss.; a son Lester A. Tubbs, Jr. of Water Valley, Miss.; three grandchildren, and one-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lester A. Tubbs, the father of her children, and two infant, who are buried at Wyatt Chapel in Yalobusha County, Miss.
