MRS. WILLIAMS
Mrs. Myrtice Effie Black Williams, 67, of the Turkey creek Community, near Bruce, Miss., Calhoun County, died in the Calhoun County Medical Facilical Saturday, February 24, 1979 after a long illness.

Mrs. Williams was born in Calhoun County, Miss. July 11, 1911, the daughter of John H. Isom Black and Ali May (Sara Ada) Starnes Black. She was a member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held at Turkey Creek Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Monday, February 26, 1979 with Rev. W. C. Johnson and Rev. Paul Kihniil officiating. Burial was in Turkey Creek Cemetery with Anthony-Parker Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were David Sullivan, Jerry Dunn, Thomas Dunn, James Black, Jerry Dean Black and Junior Black.

Mrs. Williams leaves her husband, Paul W. Williams of Water Valley, Miss., Route 4; two sisters, Mrs. Veoma Downs, Shaw, Miss., and Mrs. Myrtle Tubbs, Water Valley, Miss.; and a brother, Verley Black of Vardaman, Miss.

Ali May Starnes changed her given name from Ali May to Sara Ada Starnes.
