Paul Fielding (Felding) Fonnesbeck was the son of Jens Christian Jensen Fonnesbeck and his second wife, Marie Kristine Skov Jorgensen.

He married Iris Maurine Hurd in 1937 in Logan, Utah.

Paul died of a heart attack doing something he enjoyed: While he was chariot racing, he had a heart attack and died shortly thereafter. (Iris married Merlyn Jackson in Sept. 1976)
