Maya Margrethe "Grethe" Fonnesbeck McBride
Maya Margrethe was born to Jens Christian Jensen Fonnesbeck and (sp. 2) Maria Kristine Skov Jorgensen. Margrethe was the oldest child of this union. She married Ray McBride in 1950. For many years they lived in Idaho Falls, Idaho, not far from our house. It was a gorgeous blue house with flowers everywhere. She was proud of her Danish heritage and would share with all her family and friends her humor, wit, and sense. She was tall, elegant, and stately--but with a wonderful sense of humor! As a child I loved to hear her tell stories about the family and even speak to me in Danish. I remember a prized spinning wheel she kept in her home which she said her mother brought from Denmark. We miss her.

Siblings:

Stella Fonnesbeck
Blenda Fonnesbeck
Herman Skov Fonnesbeck
Paul Felding Fonnesbeck
Baron Sundby Fonnesbeck
Orlando Madero Fonnesbeck
Verdun France Fonnesbeck
Stanford Fonnesbeck
Eunice Fonnesbeck
Victor Fonnesbeck
Amy F. Loveland
Leon Fonnesbeck
Lydia Fonnesbeck
Betty Fonnesbeck
Luna Fonnesbeck
