"Tony" was the sixth of ten children born to Sanford Carroll Singer and Frances Dionysis “Dicie” Fields Singer. He drove a school bus for Hardin County Kentucky Schools in the 1930's.
The following are his nine siblings:
 Mary Geneveve Singer, (1901-1977),  John Singer, (1904),  Carl Singer, (1905) , Frances Helena Singer Bishop, (1906-1992) , Elizabeth Singer, (1907),  Charles Alphonso Forest Singer, (1911-1990),  Althea Marie Singer Beeler, (1913-2005),  Lawrence Matthew Singer, (1916-1989),  Florence Gertrude Singer Long, (1916-2009).
