He had ten siblings, namely: Mary Genevieve Singer, Simon Carroll, Frances Helena Singer, Elizabeth Ann Singer, Joseph Anthony "Tony", Charles Alphonsus (Cricket), Althea Maria Singer, Florence Gertrude Singer, Lawrence Matthew, and Robert Delphine.
He married Girtie Ruth Best of Hardin Co., Ky.
He was a truck driver by trade, hauling livestock and grain for local farmers. He later moved to Peru, Miami Co., Indiana, where he lived most of his life.
