Mrs. Vanlandingham dies near Crosses
Mrs. Henrietta Viola Malone Vanlandingham, 83, of near Crosses died at her home yesterday. She had lived in Arkansas for more than half a century. Her husband, Charles e. Vanlandingham, died only a few months ago.
Mrs. Vanlandingham was born in Lincoln, Ill [incorrect in obit, should be Lacon, Illinois], Nov. 5, 1856. She was a daughter of Samuel Malone and Mrs. Martha Akers Malone of Ohio, and a member of the Presbyterian church.
Services will be held at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the community church at Walnut Grove with Rev. Walter Reed officiating.
The deceased leaves three sons and a daughter. Sons are Blake who is with the U.S. Marines in the Philippine Islands; Lester of Crosses and Clifford of St. Louis, Okla. The daughter, Mrs. Goldie V. Hankins, lives at Crosses.
The body rested today at the Nelson-Savage funeral home.
