Sad Death of Young Mother.
Mrs. Albert Popma passed away at her home last Friday evening following an attack of the flu and pneumonia.
About a week preceding her death she had given birth to a little daughter. The death of this mother is unusually sad as there are four other children in the family.
The deceased who resided with her husband on a farm northeast of Ireton, was formerly Miss Ida Raak.
She was previously married to Leonard Popma who passed away some years ago.
Funeral services were held from the First Reformed church at Maurice at 1:30 Monday afternoon. The following from here attended the funeral; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Walraven, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Albert DeRaad Sr., Mr.and Mrs. Paul Van Donge, Mr. and Mrs. Peter DeJager and Mr. and Mrs. Ira DeRaad.
