The Seven Ferguson Sisters
1st - Flora Ferguson Collins
2nd - Cathrine Ferguson Phillips Blount
3rd - Isabelle Ferguson
4th - Mary Jane Ferguson Phillips
5th - Eliza Ann Ferguson Collins
6th - Alice Christan Ferguson Connell
7th - Susan Ferguson Burton

Cathrine Ferguson Blount was the 2nd Child of John and Mary Alice Ferguson.

She was married two times: 1st time to a Mr. Micajah Phillips and the 2nd time to William B. Blount. Catherine was a widow when she married the 2nd time.

Mrs. Catherine Phillips married William B. Blount on September 6th of 1874, in Montgomery County Georgia, they were married by J.N. Miller, J.P. (Justice of the Peace)

John Ferguson made each of his 7 daughter's husbands promise to bury their wife's in the Ferguson Cemetery.

Consequently all 7 daughters are buried in the Ferguson Cemetery. All are buried in a straight line beside their parents except for Eliza Ann Ferguson Collins, Eliza is buried beside her husband two rows back from her sisters.

Sister Isabell Ferguson left it in her will that monuments be placed over the graves of her sisters, Cathrine Phillips, Eliza Collins, Flora Collins, Susan Burton and Christian Connell. (I think that they either did not have headstones or they had simple cement headstones like their parents, there is a piece of an old cement headstone still there for Christian Connell) She did not leave any instructions for a head stone for her sister Mary Jane Phillips. Could be Mary Jane could afford a nice head stone and did not need help from her sister.

All the sisters head stones all are alike with a "Ships Anchor" as the emblem at the top of the head stone, except for Mary Jane Ferguson Phillips, head stone.
