The Seven Ferguson Sisters
1st - Flora Ferguson Collins
2nd - Cathrine Ferguson Phillips Blount
3rd - Isabelle Ferguson
4th - Mary Jane Ferguson Phillips
5th - Eliza Ann Ferguson Collins
6th - Alice Christan Ferguson Connell
7th - Susan Ferguson Burton

Susan Ferguson Burton was the last Child of John and Mary Alice Ferguson.

Susan was married to Pleasant C.T. Burton.

John Ferguson made each of his 7 daughter's husbands promise to bury their wife's in the Ferguson Cemetery.

Consequently all 7 daughters are buried in the Ferguson Cemetery. All are buried in a straight line beside their parents except for Eliza Ann Ferguson Collins, Eliza is buried beside her husband two rows back from her sisters.

Sister Isabell Ferguson left it in her will that monuments be placed over the graves of her sisters, Cathrine Phillips, Eliza Collins, Flora Collins, Susan Burton and Christan Connell. (I think that they either did not have headstones or they had simple cement headstones like their parents, there is a piece of an old cement headstone still there for Christan Connell) She did not leave any instructions for a head stone for her sister Mary Jane Phillips. Could be Mary Jane could afford a nice head stone and did not need help from her sister.

All the sisters head stones all are alike with a "Ships Anchor" as the emblem at the top of the head stone, except for Mary Jane Ferguson Phillips, head stone.
