Mrs. Edna Stella Bain, 82, a widely known and well loved Wirt County resident of the Two Ripple Community, died Sunday, August 15, in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. She had been in declining health since receiving severe injuries in a fall several weeks ago.

Born in Wirt County April 26, 1889, she was a daughter of the late Thomas W. and Angeline Day Evans.

She was a member of the Two Ripple Baptist Church, and an honorary member of the Two Ripple Farm Women's Club.

Survivors include her husband, Archibald G. Bain, to whom she had been married for 64 years; a son, R.L. (Lawson) Bain, of Burning Springs; seven daughters, Mrs. Virginia Wehrkamp of Celina, O.; Mrs. Dolores Patterson, Rt. 2, Palestine, Mrs. Blanche Freeland, Celina, O., Mrs. Juanita Howard, Burning Springs, Mrs. Betty Watkins, Rt. 2, Elizabeth, Mrs. Glenola Eddy, Canal Fulton, O., and Mrs. Norma Jean Hyman, at home; two step-daughters, Mrs. Adelia Learned, of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Mrs. Gladys Cutler, Tekamah, Nebraska; 35 grandchildren, and 60 great-granchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Two Ripple Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Batten and the Rev. Joe Hutchinson officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
