Linda L. (Wood) Thompson was born on January 30, 1939 in Everton, AR to Horace Wood and Viola (Cooper) Wood.
Linda married Floyd R. Thompson on August 24, 1956 in Wichita, KS.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing the piano, and volunteering at Manna Book Store. Linda was also the pianist at the Nazarene church for 16 years
She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, David; and one brother, Buell Wood.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Floyd Thompson of Wellington; three children, Dennis Thompson, Judy Bennehoof, and Elizabeth Krueger all of Wellington; one brother, Franklin Wood of Harrison, AR; two sisters, Phyllis Anderson of Lawrenceville, GA and Bea Blair of Wichita; five grandchildren, Jarret Krueger, Kindyl Krueger, Chris Bennehoof, Hunter Owston, and Taylor Briscoe.
Memorial Services will be held at First Free Will Baptist Church at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, November 28, 2011. Pastor Zane Brooks will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Prairie Lawn Cemetery.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
Memorials have been established with the American Diabetes Association and Feed the Children. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
