David Lee Thompson, former Wellington resident, passed away July 2, 2004 in Albany, Ohio from complications of diabetes. He was 42 years and 4 months old.

David was born March 1, 1962 in Wellington, to Floyd and Linda Thompson. He lived most of his life in the Wellington and South Haven area, moving to Ohio in 2000. He graduated from Mounds Okla. High School with the class of 1980. David had worked in the aircraft industry until recently when he became a warranty representive for a furniture chain.

David was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Blackwell, Okla., where he was very active with several departments within his church. He loved children and enjoyed working with youth. Music, photography and landscaping were special gifts. David was a person who enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James V. and Josie Thompson of Axtell, Kan. and Horace and Evelyn Wood of Everton, Ark. Several months ago, David had served as a casket bearer for his Grandmother Wood's funeral.

Survivors include David's parents, Floyd and Linda Thompson, one brother, Dennis Thompson, sisters Beth Krieger, her husband David, and their children Jarret and Kindyl, and Judy Bennehoof and her children Chris, Taylor and Hunter, all of Wellington.

A memorial has been established in David's memory with the Feed the Children Foundation. Donations can be mailed or left at the Funeral Home, 417 N. Washington,Wellington.

Friends may call at Frank Funeral Hone from 5 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Friday, July 9. 2004, at 10:30 a.m. at Frank Funeral Home, with David's former pastors, Welsey Miller and Bill Kalfas officiating.

Interment will follow in Prarie Lawn Cemetery. Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements
