Joseph Grady Haga, 93, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2006, in the Francis Marion Manor.

He was born in Marion July 19, 1913, to the late Enoch and America Foster Haga.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Fred Haga; a daughter, Norma Kearney; one brother, George Haga; three sisters, Zollie Wilson, Grety Cornett and Mary Jackson; and a son-in-law, Carson E. Peters Sr.

He was employed as a well driller for Harr's Company in Maryland and also for the highway department for many years.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Ruth Haga; one son, David Haga of Orlando, Fla.; three daughters, Edith Price of Monkton, Md., Dorothy Peters of Sugar Grove and Ella Mae Wirtz of Sparks, Md.; two sisters, Mabel Hutton of Marion and Mildred Wade of North Carolina; and 29 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jerry Anders and the Rev. Neville Mozingo officiated the ceremony. Interment followed in the Blue Springs Cemetery in Camp. Bradley's Funeral Home in Marion was in charge of arrangements.
