Mary Louella Cessna died Saturday, September 4, 1976 at her home in Midland, Texas after a lengthy illness. Services will be conducted on Wednesday at the First Apostolic Church, Midland, with Rev. Robert Cavaness and Rev. Carl Ballister officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park, Midland, directed by Ellis Funeral Home.
Louella was born June 6, 1937 at Round Prairie, Hughes County, Oklahoma to Jewel and Inez Lamb, the seventh of twelve children. Louella was reared in Hagerman, New Mexico after her family moved to Southeastern New Mexico from Oklahoma. She married Lowell Cessna on May 25, 1953 at the age of 17 years.
Louella was a Christian, a loving mother and loved gardening, cooking and sewing. She served the parishioners of First Apostolic Church faithfully for years as the pastor's wife.
Louella was preceded in death by her father, Jewel Sanford Lamb. Survivors are her husband of the home, 5 sons, her mother, Inez Lamb, 4 brothers and 7 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews and friends who will cherish her memory.
