Pauline Garrelick, 72, beloved wife of Dr. Stuart J. Garrelick, passed away Monday, November 21, 2011 at Norwalk Hospital. Born December 14, 1938, in the Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Rubin and Jeanette Feigelson.

Mrs. Garrelick attended Evander Childs High School and then worked as an executive secretary. In her most recent position, she was the Information Processing Specialist at Oberst Law Offices in Norwalk. While raising two children, she was an active volunteer in PTAs championing academically talented programs, in Women''s American ORT where she served as Fairfield County Regional President, and at Congregation Beth El where she chaired an East Norwalk Interfaith Thanksgiving Service committee. Beyond formal volunteerism, she challenged those of all ages to rise to their full potential.

An avid golfer, Mrs. Garrelick was a charter member of the Oak Hills Women''s Golf Association and served on the tournament committee for many years. She won her share of tournaments, including her Flight Championship.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons Gary, and his wife Donna of Wilton, CT, and Robert, and his wife Linda of Cedar Grove, NJ; three grandsons, Matthew, Jason, and David; brother Alan of Commack, NY, and sister Lenore of Schenectady, NY.

A funeral service will be held at Congregation Beth El Wednesday, November 23 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Beth El Memorial Park. Shiva will begin after the funeral service at the Garrelick home located at 80 County Street, unit 8C, in Norwalk. Mincha/ Maariv service will be held at 4 pm. Comforters are welcome until 9 pm.

The family will attend synagogue minyan at 9 am on Thursday. Comforters are welcome to join the family at that time in lieu of visiting the home on Thursday afternoon or evening. Shiva minyan will also be held Saturday, Sunday, and Monday at 7 pm at the Garrelick home.

Donations in her name may be made to Congregation Beth El Kiddush Fund or Soup Kitchen, or the Whittingham Cancer Center at Norwalk Hospital.
