Funeral services will be held Friday (April 20, 1984) at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Mire for Cyrus Meche, 75, who died Wednesday (April 18, 1984) at 6:45 p.m. at University Medical Center.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He is survived my one daughter, Ms. Winston Dorothy Guillory, Grover, Texas; seven brothers, Herbert and Elton Meche, Vider Texas; Leroy and Loisy, Lake Charles, Murphy Meche, Lafayette, Willis Meche, Lawtell, and Thurman Meche, Port Naches, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Paul (Viola) Lavergne, Baton Rouge and Ms. Ezar Bergeron, Baton Rouge, Ms. Lula Richard, Lafayette; five grandchildren.
He was a lifelong resident and native of Acadia Parish.
A rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. tonight (April 19, 1984) at the funeral home. he wake will continues until 10 p.m. tonight and from 7 a.m. to service time on Friday (April 20, 1984).
