Funeral Services Held Sunday for Christian
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. From the First Methodist church for Forrest Christian who died in a Nixon hospital Saturday at 12 noon. The Rev. Frank D. Charlton, pastor, was in charge of the services with interment in the Odd Fellows cemetery.
Forrest Christian was born December 2, 1867 in the Denton Creek community and had lived there his entire life where he engaged in farming. His parents were O. M. Christian of Georgia and Elizabeth Green Christian of Kentucky. He was a member of the Methodist church.
Surviving him are two brothers, L. C. Christian of Houston, and Bert Christian of Indio, Cal., five sisters, Mrs. H. C. Magnum of Gonzales; Mrs. Mary Cobb, St. Helena, Cal., Mrs. Laura Martin, Mrs. L. C. Gardener, both of El Paso, and Mrs. Bonnie Gunn of Los Angeles, Cal.
Pall bearers were Bill Buchanan, H. A. Watts, Ben Pierpont, Henry LePori, Aubrey Cooksey and Grover Johnson.
