Franklin Hoy, 24, Carlisle R.D. 2, and Ethel Burgett, 22, Carlisle R.D. 2.

Ethel M. Hoy, 78, 51 Hoy Road, Carlisle, died Wednesday in her home.

She was born in Middlesex Township and was the daughter of the late Addison and Grace Wolf Burgett and the widow of Frank Hoy.

She was member of the Matthias Evangelical Lutheran Church and Sunday School, Carlisle Springs, and she and her husband attended the Old Carlisle Market for many years.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathryn E. Mixell and Anna Mae Stumm, both of Carlisle; two sisters, Clara Kelley, Carlisle, and Viola Wert, Gettysburg; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Robert Wittlinger Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
