J. Herbert Burgett, 81, RD10, Middlesex Township, Carlisle, died Tuesday in Blue Ridge Haven West Nursing Home, Camp Hill.
He was born in Cumberland County and was the son of the late Addison and Grace Wolf Burgett and was the widower of Olive Sheriff Burgett.
He was a former employee of C.H. Masland and Sons and was a member of St. Matthias Lutheran Church, Carlisle Springs.
Surviving are three sisters, Viola Wert, Gettysburg; Clara Kelley, RD1, Carlisle; and Ethel Hoy, 51 Hoy Road.
Services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Stuart H. Lengel officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
