Walter E. Burgett, 76, of Walnut St., Boiling Springs, died Thursday morning in the Carlisle Hospital.

Mr. Burgett was the owner and operator of Burgett's Greenhouse for over 40 years. He was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church and was a member of the Modern Woodsmen of America, Camp 5472 .

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Nellie Myers Burgett, two daughters, Mrs. Delbert (Mary) Smith Sr. and Mrs. Carl (Pearl) Brymesser, both of Boiling Springs; a brother, Herbert Burgett, RD2 Carlisle; three sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Clara) Kelley, Carlisle, Mrs. Frank (Ethel) Hoy, RD3 Carlisle and Mrs. Violet Wert, RD2 Carlisle; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Hoffman Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., with the Rev. Owen H. Walter officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday evening from 7 to 9.
