Thomas Lofton was b. 1782 in Cabarrus Co. N. C. to Isaac Lofton Sr. and wife Mary. He was in the Militia from Harrison Co. Ind. in 1813. He purchased land in Washington Co, Ind. in 1816. He died in 1869 in Washington Co. Ind. buried in his nephew's Simeon Lofton Graveyard in Posey T. Washington Co. Ind.
