Julius, 74, of Manchester IA, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 25, 1997, in Mercy Health Center, Dubuque, after a short illness. Services: 11:30 a.m. Friday, St. Mary's Catholic Church, by the Rev. Ralph Simington. Burial: church cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Dolores; 11 sons: Richard H. (Jean) of Delhi, Gary A. (Virginia) of Manchester, Merle (Sue) of Gillette, Wyo., Dennis of Dubuque, Mark (Deb) of Manchester, Michael (Judy) of Earlville, Robert (Deb) of Strawberry Point, Jeff (Julie) of Coggon, Kevin of Manchester, Steven (Christine) of Iowa Falls and David (Jodi) of Lancaster, Wis.; five daughters: Diane (Jerry) Rolwes of Farley, Susan (Dennis) Stephan of Freeport, Ill., Mary Jane (Steve) Michaels of St. Ansgar, Nancy (Mike) Brannon of Parkersburg and Denise (Mike) Pirc of New Vienna; 34 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother, Anthony of Dyersville; a sister, Dorothy (Cletus) Gaul of Farley; and a sister-in-law, Maracella Recker of Dyersville.
