"Mrs Cora Heliker, 80, of Spartansburg, RD 3, died Monday in Corry Memorial Hospital. She was born March 10, 1905, in Rome Township, the daughter of Milton and Nellie Hunt Baney. On Sept 1, 1921, she married Martin Heliker. She was a member of [the Christian] Missionary Alliance Church at Spartansburg. In addition to her husband, she is survived by the following children: Mrs Fred (Maxine) Morris of Centerville, RD 1, Lee Heliker of Spartansburg, RD 2, Mrs Donald (Flossie) Terrill of Townville, RD 1, Milton Heliker of Union City, Mrs Cleo Ritchie of Union City, Martin Heliker Jr of Townville, and Mrs Kathryn Pring of Warren. She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs Lena Barron of Tryonville, Mrs Virginia Mallory of Hydetown, Mrs Jessie Nadolny of Spartansburg, RD 2, Mrs Avis Slother of Titusville, Star Route, Mrs Effie Firster of Guys Mills, Lester Baney of Centerville, RD 3, and Ronald Baney of Union City. Twenty-six grandchildren also survive. Friends may call at the H Richard Hays Funeral Home at Spartansburg...and attend the funeral service there at 2 pm Thursday with Rev Clyde May, pastor of [the Christian] Missionary Alliance Church, officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery."
