Dayton, Tenn., Dec. 4. – Thomas A. Allen died at his residence on Washington street last evening of asthma. Mr. Allen was an aged and highly esteemed citizen of Rhea county and was a brother of Col. V. C., W. B. and Robert Allen, of this place, and Hon. N. Q. Allen, of Athens. He had been an invalid for nearly twenty years. The funeral services will take place at the residence tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock, and the interment will be in the College Hill cemetery.
