Mrs. Charles McHenry
Dies at Home Here

Mrs. Charles McHenry, 51, died this morning at her home at 319 South street. Mrs. McHenry, who was born west of the river, had been a resident of the vicinity most of her life. She was a member of the United Brethren church.

Besides her husband, Charles McHenry, she is survived by five children. These are Kenneth and Dorothy of the home; Verlin McHenry, Iola; Mrs. George Cole, Iola; and Mrs. Charles Halbert, Humboldt. Her mother, Mrs. R. E. Harris of Hutchinson, also survives, as do three brothers, C. A. Harris of Hutchinson; Luther Harris of Bloomington, Ind., and Vance Harris of Long Beach, Calif. Five grandchildren, Shirley, Jerry, Joyce, and Bobby Cole, and Charles Allen McHenry, all of Iola, also survive.

The funeral arrangements have not yet been made, but the body will lie in state at the Releford funeral home until the hour of services.

On 22 April 1942 in this same paper, page 1, it was announced that funeral was at 2:30 on Thursday with burial in Iola.
