Miles Stoddard Curfew, age 100, beloved father, uncle, foster father, foster grandfather and friend was called home to our Heavenly Father and loved ones that have preceded him, on July 23, 1992 in an Ogden rest home of causes incident to age. He was born June 29, 1892 in Reed, Beaver County, a son of James and Lois Stoddard Curfew. He married Eva Sheppard on February 16, 1921 in the Manti Temple. They spent 52 years together before she passed away on May 10, 1973. He is survived by two sisters: Inez Mason of St. George and Agnes Jensen of West Valley; a niece; foster daughter, LaVerl M. (Joanne Sheppard) Allan of Layton; five foster grandchildren and nine foster great-grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews also survive him. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Eva; his parents; a sister: Ida May Curfew; three brothers: Frank, LeRoy, and James Curfew. Three daughters died in infancy: Evelyn, Lenna, and Lois. One stillborn son also preceded him. Burial was on July 27, 1992. He was a barber in Springville, Utah.
