Mrs. Nettie Hogge Charlton, 77, of 3840 W. 900 S., died Thursday night at the Weber Memorial Hospital in Roy after an extended illness.

Mrs. Charlton was born March 5, 1891, in West Weber, a daughter of William George and Margaret Ann Ririe Hogge.

She had lived in West Weber most of her life.

On March 29, 1911 she was married to Albert Ray Charlton in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died November 12, 1967, in Roy.

She worked at the Defense Depot Ogden during World War II.

A member of the West Weber, LDS Ward, she was former president, counselor, and teacher in the Primary, Sunday School teacher and secretary, Relief Society counselor and visiting teacher, member of the old folks committee. She was a member of Daughter of Utah Pioneers, Camp 34.

Survivors are five sons and six daughters, Norvel R. Charlton, George E. Charlton, Larry H. Charlton, Mrs. Vic (Mae) Adams, Mrs. Jay (Elda) Hadley, all of ogden; John A. Charlton, Placentia, Calif., Merrill R. Charlton, Norwalk, Calif; Mrs. Clarence (Arvilla) Bingham, Great Falls, Mont.; Mrs. Earl (Genett) Munson, Weed Calif; Mrs. Delour (Laura) Ekins, Orange, Calif.; Mrs. Don (Anna Beth) Gardiner, Berkley Heights, N.J.; 36 grand children; 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel with Bishop Boyd Hancock of the West Weber Ward conducting.

Friends may call at the mortuary Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday until services. Burial in the West Weber Cemetery.
