Hans Bredis Passes Away Early This Morning; Survived By Widow And Four Children
Hans Bredis, first settler in the Russian settlement at Bloomville, died between the hours of four and five o'clock this morning at his home after a year's illness. Mr. Bredis was born in Riga, Russia, and was about 65 years of age. He came to Bloomville about 30 to 35 years ago and during these years had cleared ninety acres out of a total tract of 100 acres. He was a member of the Lettish Lutheran church, and is survived by his widow, and two sons and two daughters. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday or Wednesday of next week according to present calculations.

Hans Breedis of the Town of Schley Survived by Widow and Four Children
Hans Breedis, who died at 6:30 o'clock Saturday morning at his home at Gleason, was born Oct. 28, 1869, in Latvia. The deceased was a farmer, and came to Gleason about 30 years ago. He was united in marriage at Merrill to Miss Wilhelmina Zeelaw in 1907, and four children were born to the union, all of whom live at home, Hans, William, Edna and Alma. Besides the widow and the children, the deceased is survived by one sister living in Latvia.
The deceased was a member of the Martin Lutheran church.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 16, at two p.m., at the home, and at 2:30 o'clock at the church, Rev. Buckroth of Chicago to officiate. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
