St. Cloud Times, Tues. June 17, 1969, p. 9. Norbert M. Rieder, 55, 407 8 ave. s, died today at the St. Cloud Hospital. He was born Feb. 21, 1914, to the late John and Susan Rieder and married Margaret (Peggy) Varner on Apr. 27, 1938, at St. Mary's Cathedral. He was a member of the United Commercial Travelers. Mr. Rieder is survived by his widow; four children (names omitted for privacy); four grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Edward, Walter, Larry, Jack and Mrs. Alma Rau, St. Cloud; Rev. Donald OSB, Kimball MN; Robert, Rochester MN; Mrs. Joseph Boese, Duluth MN; Mrs. Roman Jensen, Sauk Centre MN; Mrs. Peter Landowski, Foley MN; and Mrs. Joseph Wartman, Eden Valley MN. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Thursday from St. Mary's Cathedral with burial in the Assumption Cemetery. Friends may call at the Daniel Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Wednesday. St. Mary's Cathedral parish will pray the parish prayers at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
