A.L. Blair, son of the late John Turner Blair and Myrtle Mae Lynch
Blair was born on April 5, 1938 in Henderson, Tennessee and
departed this life at the Missouri Southern Health Care in Dexter
on August 9, 2011 at the age of 73.
Mr. Blair was of the Baptist Faith, member of the National Rifle
Association, veteran of the United States Army, a self-employed
Farmer for many years, and a resident of Essex, Missouri.
Survivors include three brothers, Kermit Blair of Essex,
Missouri, Bob Blair of Dexter, and J.C. Blair of Vallejo,
California; by one sister, Connie Beck of St. Louis, Missouri,
also by a very special friend Gloria Ritch of Grayridge, Missouri.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister,
Linnie Rowland and by one brother, Lloyd Blair.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter
from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday August 11, 2011.
Graveside services will be conducted on Friday August 12, 2011
at 11:00 A.M. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in
Bloomfield, Missouri with Rev. Ronnie Ledbetter and Rev.
James Mallory officiating. Interment will follow with full
Military Honors.
