Kenneth E (Sneddon) Lyon, age 57, passed away at his home on October 5, 1991.
He was born on August 17, 1934 to Richard Reid and Genevieve Sneddon in Helper, Utah. He was adopted by Brigham Olsen and Hilda Reah Lyon. Married Gladys Doxford; deceased. Married Alice M. Sharpsteen on April 13, 1990.
He received his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Utah. Employed by Salt Lake County; previously worked for the Utah State Highway Dept. He was loved and respected by family and friends. Ken loved camping, fishing, and his '' little girl,'' Mimi.
Survived by his wife, Alice; his mother, Hilda; one son, Greg Sneddon, Arkansas; three daughters, Karen Bunch of Virginia; Sharon Sneddon; Tammy Rogers, both of Oklahoma; six brothers, Jim (Eunice) Sneddon; Ted (Mavis) Sneddon, Bernard (Myrtle) Sneddon, all of Salt Lake City; Gene (Lena) Helper; Al (Lynn) Sneddon, Pennsylvania; Jack Holt, Colorado; sister, Pat (Deon) Hawkins, Salt Lake; 14 grandchildren; four stepsons, Clifford and Floyd Romrell, Chris and Floyd Fairbanks; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 7 p.m., at the McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where friends may call Tuesday, 6-6:50 p.m. A graveside will be held Wednesday, 10 a.m., at the Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Salt Lake Rescue Mission.
