William Samuel Fuson, a former resident of Tacoma and retired Northern Pacific Railway conductor, died yesterday in a local hospital at the age of 96.
Born in Iowa, Mr. Fuson came to Tacoma in 1883 and lived here until his retirement in 1933. Recently he made his home in Kenmore, near Seattle.
He leaves his wife, Martha; four sons, Cordell of Belfair, Walter of Tacoma, Samuel of Oklahoma, and William of California; two daughters, Mrs. Orpha Smith of Tacoma and Mrs. Grace Trusty of Portland; 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
Private services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the C. O. Lynn Co., Chapel with Dr. Albert J. Lindsey officiating. Cremation will follow.
