She was the daughter of Rev. Jacob Lindley and Hannah Dickey. She married the Rev. LeRoy/Lee Roy Woods on December 9, 1833 in Beverly, Washington Co., Ohio. The 1870 census has them living in Streator, Illinois, but by 1879, they had returned to Greene County, Pennsylvania, where her husband helped start the Cumberland Presbyterian Church early in his ministry and where he died.
