John Edwin Alexander died at 9:30 p.m. Monday at his home, southwest of Moberly, where he had lived 60 years.

Born Sept. 22, 1882, he had been seriously ill two weeks. Mr. Alexander was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Moberly.

Surviving are his wife, Laura Roop, whom he married Nov. 9, 1909; three daughters, Mrs. Irvin West, Clifton Hill; Mrs. Louise Crutchfield, Tulsa, Okla.; Mrs. Charles Fuhrman, Moberly; two sons, Hubert, Moberly, and Arnold, Huntsville; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one infant son, one grandchild and his parents.

The body is at the Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville, where funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Visitation began this afternoon.
