PROVO--Mrs. Janet (Jean) Croft Elliott, 38, Utah County native and resident of Salt Lake City, died Saturday night at Utah Valley Hospital here following an operation.

Mrs. Elliott was born Aug. 30, 1912, in Salem, Utah County, a daughter of Joel D. and Janet Underwood Croft. She came here as a child to Provo with her parents and attended Franklin elementary and Provo High Schools.

Active in Young Women's Mutual Improvement Assoc., she was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She was married to Earl E. Elliott June 26, 1940, in Richfield. They resided in Santa Monica, Cal., until 1940, when they moved to Salt Lake City.

Survivors include her husband and three sons and two daughters, Dallis L., Gordon Joel, Steven L., Deanna R. and Earleen Ina Elliott, all of Salt Lake City; her mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. George [illegible], Provo; four brothers, A. LaVell and Herbert J. Croft, both of Orem; and Orvin A. Croft, Provo; and Verl Croft, Las Vegas, Nev.; four sisters, Mrs. Ina D. Bassette, Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. May Gabbitas, Springville; Mrs. Carni J. Canfield, Provo; and Mrs. Bessie D. Smith; Edgemont, Utah County; and a half-brother, Albert J. [illegible], Las Vegas, Nev.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Berg Mortuary Chapel, Provo, by Ralph [illegible], bishop. Provo 11th LDS Ward. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. and Wednesday prior to services at the mortuary. Burial will be in Provo Cemetery.
