SOPERTON — Norman Gillis, Jr., 81, died Wednesday in a Dublin hospital. Services will be held at 3 p.m. today in the chapel of Sammons Funeral Home in Soperton. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery in Soperton. The Rev. Ronnie Howell will officiate.
Mr. Gillis, a lifelong resident of Soperton, was a retired farmer and a school bus driver.
Survivors include a son, Norman Gillis, III of Soperton; three daughters, Bobbie Thompson, Grace Pollette and Carolyn Jones, all of Soperton; a sister, Mabel Gillis of Soperton; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
