She was born Dec. 11, 1919, in Laurel Dale, W.Va., and was a daughter of the late Robert (Weck) Amtower and Sena (Cosner) Amtower. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil R. (John) Jones; one son, Raymond E. (Jock) Jones; six brothers, Ralph (Jack) Amtower, James (Jim) Amtower, Emory (John) Amtower, Ervin (Foxey) Amtower, Floyd (Dick) Amtower, and Haven (Sam) Amtower; one sister, Ethel V. Rohrbaugh; one half-sister, Nelcie Ashby; two half-brothers, Claude Amtower and Ray Amtower; and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Jones operated the Cee Dee Restaurant in Oakland for many years, and then owned and operated Piddle's Griddle.
She is survived by one daughter, Helen Gnegy of Gorman; one sister, Doris (Sally) Cosner of Mount Storm, W.Va.; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Durst Funeral Home in Oakland on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Mount Storm United Methodist Church on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William Anderson officiating. Friends may call at the church one-half hour prior to services.
Interment will be in the Lahmansville Cemetery.
