Josephine Bizjak, 90, passed away at her daughter's home in Missoula on Tuesday, May 3, 2011.

She was born Dec. 1, 1920, in Butte to Frank and Frances Bounchar. Following graduation from Butte Business College, she worked as a secretary at Ellis Paint and was later employed at the telephone company in Butte.

Josephine married Luke Bizjak in Butte on Nov. 17, 1945. She then moved to Opportunity and became a homemaker while Luke worked as a smelter foreman for the Anaconda Co. She devoted her time to raising their two daughters, Sharon and Joan.

She enjoyed dancing, baking and spending time with her family and friends.

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Luke; parents; sister, Fran Castiglioni; and brother, George Bounchar.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sharon (Tim) Phillips of Boise, Idaho, and Joan (John) Fallgreen of Missoula; three grandsons, Todd (Raquel) Phillips of Boise, Jarred Fallgreen of Lolo and Jordan Fallgreen of Missoula; great-granddaughter, Morgan Phillips of Boise; and great-grandson, Kaden Fallgreen of Lolo.

A private graveside service for Josephine will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Butte.
