Frances Marie Castiglioni, 90, died Wednesday afternoon, May 31, 2006, in Crest Nursing Home.
Fran was born in Butte on Feb. 23, 1916, to Frances (Corinich) and Frank Bounchar. She attended Butte schools. She worked at Symon's, Burr's and Hennessy's department stores. She enjoyed bowling, Hennessy retirees luncheons, performing with the Strikettes, growing beautiful roses, but mostly being a constant companion to her son, Larry.
She was a member of St. Ann's Church. She married Emil Castiglioni in 1941.
Fran was preceded in death by her husband, Emil in March 23, 1973; son, Larry in 2001; brother and sister-in-law, George and Doris Bounchar; and brothers-in-law, Bob Phillips and Luke Bizjak.
Survivors include her sisters, Rose Phillips of Butte and Josephine Bizjak of Opportunity; nieces and nephews, Roberta and Pat Baker, Butte, Rick Phillips and Gladys Soult, Butte, Ron and Dana Phillips, Jacksonville, Fla., Debbie and Bob Kearns, Melrose, Deanna Phillips, Butte, Joni and John Fallgreen, Missoula, Sharon and Tim Phillips, Boise, Idaho; many dear friends and neighbors.
Liturgy of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Ann's Catholic Church. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Memorials: St. Ann's Catholic Church, Bagdad Shrine Transportation Fund or to a charity of the donor's choice.
