Bessie Mae Faubus Forbes Frye

Mrs. Bessie Mae Frye, 50 years old, of Laurel, died early Wednesday morning at her home, after several months of failing health.

Mrs. Frye, a native of Jackson County, Kentucky, had lived in the Laurel community since 1946. She was born on September 30, 1913, a daughter of Thomas and Suzie Milbourn Forbes.

Survivors include her husband, Charles; two daughters, Lois Jean and Ruby Joan and two sons, Wayne Douglas and Gary Grant, all at home; three brothers, Dewey Forbes of Harrison, Ohio, Hiram Forbes of Buena Vista, and Joseph Forbes of near Metamora; and three half sisters, Mrs. Frank Taylor of near Brookville, Mrs. Fred Marshall and Mrs. Henry Marshall, both of Metamora.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Moster and Sons mortuary, Laurel. Rev. Ballard Lanham will officiate and burial will be in the Laurel North Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Thursday (today) at the mortuary.
